A member asked:

How long do stool cultures usually take?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It depends on what organism is being cultured. Bacterial cultures take only a couple of days. Viral culture may take a few weeks, Newer molecular tests take only hours to detect an organism, but that is not culture.
