A member asked:

I'm low on blood pressure medicine (only 4 pills left), should i cut them in half to last me longer? (i can't refill them until i get insurance)

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Try to get meds.: It's not safe to cut long-acting medications, such as once-daily blood pressure medications, in half. See if you can be prescribed generic versions of the medications you are on. That would be safer.
