Change doctors: This is a very common problem and it is sad. Some doctors can't give their patients, esp. the elderly enough time to explain what is going on. You should tell your parents to tell the doctor that you are there so they can understand their condition so you can ask questions. If the doctor still won't entertain you, look for other more compassionate doctors who will help your parents.
