I'm 40 wks on wednesday, i had my membranes sweeped 8hrs ago and pretty sure i just lost my mucus plug how long till i could go into labor? i was 2cm

Varies: Although the loss of the mucus plug suggests that things are moving in the right direction and the cervix is thinning and dilating, it says nothing about actual active labor. You can stay this way for hours or days and if its first baby, maybe a week or two. On the positive side, it could also herald the start of labor and you could find yourself in the delivery room tonight:-) Good Luck!
