I stopped taking magnesium supplements about a week and a half ago but still have loose stool and sometimes diarrhea. is this common?

Further info: Would need further info re medical history, diet, prior stool and blood tests, other medications. Happy to consult but do stop milk/milk products and artificial sweeteners for two weeks to see if these common offenders are root cause for diarrhea.

K: Magnesium supplement certainly can cause diarrhea usually this would resolve within a week after patient stop taking it.if diarrhea last longer than two weeks in person a valuation with the doctor is advised to check for serious or infectious causes the need treatment and evaluation
