Breast ultrasound indicates a 0.5cm lump. doctor says its benign, but should i just remove it? i don't want to run risk risk of developing malignancy

If the imaging: features are consistent with a BIRADS 2(benign) lesion, the probability of malignancy is less then 1%, and the current standard of care is that biopsy or excision is not necessary. Did the doctor say what it was? If it is being called benign, there should be a specific diagnosis(e.g. cyst).
