Talk to Gyn..: Typically, Provera (medroxyprogesterone) tabs are taken for 10 or 14 days, to initiate a withdrawal bleed. The main reasons for no withdrawal bleed is not enough estrogen (at least 40), blocked exit, or pregnancy. A positive response is any bleeding more than light spotting that occurs within 2 weeks after the progestin is given. This bleeding will usually occur 2-7 days after the progestin is finished.
