3-5: Most women stop bleeding/cramping somewhere between 3 to 5 days after provera (medroxyprogesterone). Sometimes can last as long as a week. If the lining of the uterus was thick (due to missed periods) then bleeding can last longer as all that tissue sloughs off. What about birth control pills to help regulate cycle? See you doctor if bleeding persists longer than 10-14 days.
