A member asked:

My five year old slipped and hit the back of her head and has been having headaches since. should i take her in?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need more info...: Without any other info, it's hard to say, but if it's just MILD headache and nothing else (NO loss of consciousness, confusion, acting strangely, nausea, vomiting, gait changes, vision or hearing changes), then it's likely normal response to hitting one's head on the ground and not serious. BUT if you're worried, OR HER SYMPTOMS CHANGE, definitely call your doc or go to the ER right away!
