No-brain check: I would definitely advise a neurolgy evaluation and certainly a CT scan of the crain. Call for an appointment and examination.

Headache: No, that sounds like a tension headache. At 85, though, I think you should be evaluated by a doctor to make sure what is going on, especially if you don't typically get headaches.
