No need to freak-out: STDs, including herpes and hepatitis B, are transmitted ineffiiciently; that is, most sex with infected people doesn't transmit. Your ex partner should be professionally examined and tested for these and other STDs. If he isn't infected, you couldn't have caught anything. New herpes or hep B often asymptomatic. If symptoms, usual onset 3-10 days for herpes, 4-12 wk for hep B. No risk for hep C.
