When i put in eye drops (lubricant, antihistamine, any kind) eyes "react" and burn, sting, get watery and get red before clearing up. why?

Can happen: Several eye drops are known to cause stinging or burning in eye when initially applied. This can make you feel that eye seems to be more red. As long as the symptoms go away, I wouldn't worry about it at all.
