Normal: The pill typically makes periods lighter, shorter, and less painful. Some even make you skip periods. If you are using it correctly, you have a 1-2% failure rate. But, if it will help put your mind at ease, you can check a home pregnancy test to make sure you're not pregnant. I have some patients that check one every month before starting their next pill pack.
