Diane 35 is not: indicated for general use for the purpose of oral contraception. It has contraceptive qualities, since it has combined estrogen and progesterone analogues. However its main indication is to treat women with excessive androgenization symptoms such as facial hair, acne and seborrhea or dandruff. Its contraceptive quality is considered secondary.
