Hard to say: We don't always have an explanation for this. I will see patients like you in my office and often get an MRI to look into it further and the studies often come back normal. We often don't know the cause; perhaps some subtle nerve injury or scar tissue. Thankfully it often does ultimately resolve. I would not hesitate to see a spine specialist to be evaluated.
