During my period recently i have being getting spasms and pain in my upper abdomen/stomach area, under breast bone. i am unable to eat and it feels tender.

Laterality: If it is the right side, you may need to be evaluated for gall bladder disease, which could be evaluated with an ultrasound and a HIDA ( nuclear scan) of the gall bladder. If it is on the left side or on both sides, it could be endometriosis. If it is persistent you need to go and see your specialist to get it checked.
