Tongue mass: A blister, by definition, is a fluid filled sac and should not be hard. If your wife has a hard "lesion" on her tongue, she should have that evaluated by an ENT specialist to help figure out what it is. This may require just looking, but it might need to be biopsied. Any new mass should be evaluated as soon as you are able. Best of luck!
