Saliva: This sounds like more like a saliva issue or lack there of. Some medications can have that effect. There are products on the market like Biotene and Kaboom. It is always best to consult with your dentist.

Tongue biting: Most people accidentally bite their tongue while chewing or speaking. Sometimes time it may be very painful and may cause bleeding. You should be careful when you are eating and take your time while chewing. Good luck.
