Mgt: If you feel otherwise well it may take a few weeks for an effusion to resolve. If there is fever, reduced hearing or headache, please see your PCP.

Not uncommon: but if your ears are blocked, Claritin would not do much for you since it possesses no decongesting effect. If you must , try an OTC nasal decongestant spray for no more than 5 days and see if this helps.
