A member asked:

Hello i have been off and on the pill a lot for the past 3 to 4 years, unable to decide whether to have another baby. will this have affected my egg quality?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No...but...: Being on and off the pill doesn't affect egg quality. However, fertility starts declining at age 35 and fairly rapidly after age 40. So, if you are wanting another baby, I recommend seeing your doctor to discuss trying to conceive on your own right away. If no success after 6 months, you may need to have some tests/discuss fertility treatment options.
