Will using permethrin only where the itchy bumps are located on my body eliminate the scabies? it worked last time. head to toe seems overkill no?

Not overkill: Scabies is not like a simple mosquito bite. Scabies is an infestation of the skin by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei.
Transmitted by close person to person contact or by fomites (clothing, linens). To prevent transmission treat with Permethrin 5% cream. Apply to all areas of the body from the neck down and wash off aprox 8-14 hours later. Simultaneous treatment of close contacts advised.
