Needs antibiotics.: Used for prevention - not treatment. Cranberry juice can help to prevent urinary tract infections (UTI's) in women with recurrent UTI's because of the proanthyocyanidins (PACs) it contains. Large amounts of cranberry juice can cause GI upset. Limit or avoid use with warfarin.

Antibiotics are bett: Antibiotics are a better option in eliminating all the bacteria. Acidification of the urine through cranberry juice may help resolve symptoms but is not a sure method. Recommend use of antibiotics for her treatment.
