A member asked:

Will freckles come on genital parts and bikiny line as these areas are not exposed to sun?

FickleFecklessFreckl: Yes, you can get"freckles"in areas not exposed to the sun.Naturally, the sun will stimulate the skin to produce protective pigment,in the case of freckles, in discreet areas, but they can arise in other areas too. But,like any"freckle,"keep an eye out for any weird changes like rough edges or changes in color or size over time,or weird notches or flaking or swelling. In that case, see a dermatologist

Freckles?: Melanocytes produce melanin to create freckles when activated by UV-B radiation (sun). However, I don't believe that freckles usually occur in those areas??
