I kissed a girl who was diagnosed with typhoid 3 days back. is there a way i can prevent the disease in the incubation period itself by taking meds?

See answer: The fact that u cld kiss a girl who was diagnosed to have typhoid fever 3 days ago suggests that she already is on an antibiotic and therefore not contagious, &improved. Doctor will not give u an antibiotic as a precaution. U may never develop the disease. If u do develop a fever the diagnosis becomes easier and u will be promptly treated. Make sure u include a blood culture in the tests ordered.

I am glad u found my answer helpful. From what u have written u are aspiring to be a doctor. U will learn that treating out of fear gets you more problems than an objective assessment and treatment based on evidence. Using antibiotics without good cause can and does increase antibiotic resistance and makes the entire community more at risk. Also read on ciprofloxacin and be aware of side effects.
