A member asked:

My doc order a crp &, sedrate blood test both were normal so i guess i can put the temporal arthritis to rest to no i don't have it huh?

Most likely: This is most likely the case. If there is still a high suspicion, a termporal artery biopsy would need to be done, but in nearly all people CRP and/or ESR (sed rate) should be elevated in temporal arteritis.

No!: War(sed. Rate) and crp(c-rxtve protein) are generalized markers for many , if not all inflammatory conditions. An ANA test and probably a nerve biopsy are your only definive ways to make the diagnosis.
