Many factors affect the normal flow of periods including age, season, weather, stress, exercise, body girth, nutrition, etc. I would wait until the period returns and see if the next cycle brings regularity. Premenstrual bleedin: Always check a pregnancy test first when this happens. Otherwise it just sounds like some premenstrual bleeding, which can happen for a variety of reasons and if its only once is usually just a by chance episode. If it gets more regular then you have to worry about things like fibroids, endometriosis, infection, etc.
