Exercise: As to the reconfiguration of lumbar lordosis in a young female there would be recommended yoga for the back. Additionally, one might sleep on the back with a pillow beneath the lumbar spine so as to stress and strengthen ligaments and muscles that draw and contract the lower spine, thereby tending to bow the lumbar spine anteriorly.

Spinal strengthening: To counteract the adverse effect of sitting, there are some lumbar paraspinal strengthening exercises I recommend. Building these muscles works to restore the normal curve of the lower back, which is the best anatomic situation for your discs and other structures. Look up "superman" exercises - lying on your stomach on the floor, and balancing on your belly!
