Breakthrough bleedin: What you describe is commonly referred to as breakthrough bleeding. It is quite common in the first few months of starting BCPs. If your bleeding doesnt seem to subside in the nest couple of periods, an evaluation by your PCP or OB would be advised for more definitive assessment. Feel better:)
