Bloody stool: Pinkish red blood in the stool usually comes from the lower rectum or anus and hemorrhoids or a fissure or trauma could be the cause. Inflammation of the lower colon or rectum is less likely. Your pediatrician can perform a gentle anorectal examination for evaluation especially if further bleeding occurs.
