Decrease cortisol: Cortisol and Inflammatory cytokines are secreted in your body naturally. These can cause increased arousal, sleep disruption, and organ function disruption if they are not decreased. A normal 6 1/2 hours of untiterrupted sleep decrases their level in the body. Their concentration drop through sleep will increase alertness, performance, and give your body and mind a better shot of feeling better.
