Hirudoid Gel: Hirudoid cream and gel both contain heparinoid, which is a similar to heparin. It is used to improve circulation after bruising or soft tissue injuries. Heparinoid works by dissolving small blood clots and improving the blood supply to the skin. Hirudoid cream and gel can be used to help relieve pain and inflammation associated with superficial thrombophlebitis. Retin a (tretinoin) cream is more effective.

Maybe: This isn't a usual treatment as it contains a drug similar to Heparin which dissolves clots. That's why it is good for bruises or inflammation associated with clots. Maybe your doctor thinks your acne is hemorrhagic? Why don't you ask him why he uses it and what his experiences show. If what he says doesn't make sense, you can always seek a second opinion.
