A member asked:

Can getting a tattoo cause more cherry anginomas?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tattoos and angiomas: Getting a tattoo does not cause more cherry angiomas. Cherry angiomas are mostly hereditary and pretty much everyone gets a few eventually. Other red papules can occur in tattoos, such as an allergic reaction to tattoo dyes, infections or even an inflammatory condition called sarcoidosis. If new red lesions are appearing in or near a tattoo, please see your dermatologist.
