A member asked:

I have been experiencing severe and chronic migraines for a few years. is there any tests or scans that can be done to help determine a cause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: that a specific test will tell you the etiology of migraine especially if you have had it for a long time without any neurological or visual sequel a. Seeing a neurologist will be helpful. MRI or CT scan of the brain may be indicated in some cases
