A member asked:

I had a pap smear done on thursday (10/8/15) and during the pap i had a lot of bleeding. what could this mean??

Bleeding: the most common cause is a friable cervix (bleeds easily) and this can be due to pregnancy, infection, trauma from sex and hormonal changes. Other causes include cervicitis (STD), polyps and the most common cause is idiopathic (meaning no specific reason or cause)
