See your FamilyDoc: Omeprazole aka Prilosec and other proton pump inhibitors shut down stomach's acid production leading to poor absorption of calcium & magnesium, which can lead to osteoporotic fractures and abnormal heart rhythms. Lack of stomach acid also increases risk for diarrhea & pneumonia. Muscle cramps isn't high on list of side effects. See your FamilyDoc for further eval. Some BP meds throw off electrolyt
