Bet on the virus: Vertigo after a viral upper respiratory infection are fairly common. You can get some inflammation in the vesicular system in your inner ear (part of your ear helping control balance). It goes away after a few days and is nothing to worry about. MS can cause vertigo, but common things be common, bet on the viral infection. If you develop different/new neurology symptoms go see a doc then.
