There is no guarante: that you will keep your menstruation from occurring this close to the departure date, even if you were to take the Depo Shot. The first 2-3 months your body will struggle to adjust to the hormonal regulation that the pills or injection are designed to do. You will have irregular bleeding until your body adjusted. Sorry to tell you otherwise, but you will just have to experiment and hope.
