A member asked:

If i had a mrsa infection will mrsa always stay on my skin? i had folliculitis in the groin area and it was cultured.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes we do not have: a way to guarantee complete eradication of MRSA. So it stays on your skin in small concentration and lives happily along with the billions of other bacteria that inhabit there. And if you are prone to skin infections, then most likely they will continue to cause problems in the future. Just hopefully not too often. Washing with Hibiclens and such has not been proven to help consistently.
