When your knee locks, should you wait for it to unlock or should you still walk around normally? when knee locks and am walking, it is really painful

It needs attention: cannot say what you mean by locking. A minor muscle spasm OUTSIDE OF THE JOINT is not generaly serious. But locking usually means something in the joint is broken and gets worse with moveing.
