Sleep Paralysis: This sounds like Sleep Paralysis. It is quite common in general population but if becomes frequent then can be further evaluated. It can be an auxiliary symptom of Narcolepsy if associated with excessive daytime sleepiness. Usually reassurance is all that is necessary.
