Should i skip microgestin 1/20 inactive pills to skip period? or do this a month before so that my period would fall on a different week when i take the inactive pills again?

Yes: Talk to your gynecologist about this. You can take two months of active birth control pills in a row. Resuming active pills should be a week later, not two. There are many ways to manipulate your period with birth control pills.
