Occupational: Your symptoms appear to be work related and probably are due to strain, sprain and overuse activities on your new job. Hopefully you'll get conditioned to the new physical demands of your job. In the meantime try alternating warm and cold applications for your aching hands, and, if you can take them, take nsaids like ibuprofen for relief.

Hand pain and numb: What type of work do you do at the plant? if you use power equipment you may benefit from anti-vibration gloves. if you do repetitive work you may benefit from breaking every 30-45 minutes for 1-2 minutes and shaking out your hands/possible splints . Check that your computer is ergonomically situated. Note if you are at a chemical facility. if you work in a freezer wear gloves. F/U / doc
