What happened?: We don't have nearly enough information to answer this question with any accuracy. How long has it been going on? Did you hurt yourself? Change exercise routine or shoes you wear? Do you have any other symptoms? Ask again and give a few more details. You have a 150 character limit, so keep it short but be as complete as possible.

To much shinaction.: There is not much to go on, but based on your age, you probably have shin splints. The probable cause is increased level of activity that your shin needs time to adjust to. Now, resting it is crucial to allow the inflammation to subside. Ice compression will help as well as taking Motrin, Advil (ibuprofen) or similar NSAIDs. Shoes with the correct measure of support and possibly a shin wrap may help also.
