Is there anything a patient should not do b4 getting a spinal epidural injection(chronic pain) that could make it so the dr couldn't do the procedure?

Depends.: Follow the instructions given beforehand for the procedure. Obviously, don't drink alcohol or use recreational drugs. Other limitations may be given, depending on how immediately it needs to be done. Check with the doc who ordered it or with the doc who is going to do it to be clear on this. In an emergency situation, the requirements are different.
