See answer : ~80% of adults experience low back pain at some point in their life. Majority is mechanical in nature, i.e. there is a strain, sprain, or disruption in the way the components of the back (the spine, muscle, intervertebral discs, and nerves) fit and move together. Kidney stone pain most often acute, severe, confined to one side and radiates around to the front. Hx, exam, urinalysis, and x-rays help
