Bleeding from Pap: smear can be delayed for up to 1 week after the procedure. This is due to the scabbing that occurs right after the cervix experienced trauma from scraping, then once the cervical mucus returns and normal hormonal cycle increases its size again, the scabbing may loosen and cause some minor clots. Just monitor it and make sure the brownish color discharge goes away in a week.
