Usually: under normal conditions BP tends to be variable but during pregnancy the average BP tends to be lower.This is due to normal changes in the circulation cause by vascular relaxation and sequestration of blood circulation as fetal circulation matures through the placenta .This changes of course return to baseline within 4 weeks or less after delivery
