Yes and no: HPV vaccine contains several different strains of the virus. It depends which strains you have been infected with already. You can be tested for the specific HPV strains subtypes and if - it could protect you against those. You most ALWAYS use protection and insist on it. It's your life you know!

Not exactly : The hpv vaccine will protect you against four strains. It is not likely that one person already has four strains. The vaccine will only protect you against the strains that you have not yet acquired
