A member asked:

I'm a 31 year old female. for years it burns my stomach to drink liquid. even water. 2 gastroenterolofists don't know why yet. they say i don't have reflux or high acid levels even though my symptoms of eating and drinking line up with that. metochloprami

Puzzlying: If two gastroenterologists cannot figure it out you could consult a third. What other symptoms do you have? In the meantime you could try coating your esophagus by taking liquid antacids like gelusil or even carafate (sucralfate) three or four times a day which may sooth the linings of the esophagus and stomach.
