Spironlactone: For adult women the best acne treatment is the anti-androgen spironolactone. Usually 100mg orally. Expect clearing in 3 months. Not if pregnant or in kidney failure. If very severe acne and insufficient response to spironolactone, 5 months of oral isotretinoin, probably at 80mg a day, will rescue you. Not if pregnant.
